Preeclampsia, or high blood pressure in pregnancy, is the most commonly treated complication in pregnancy. Affecting between 5-8% of pregnancies, preeclampsia and other hypertensive disorders are, according to the Preeclampsia Foundation, a leading cause of maternal and foetal illness and death. |
